The Department of Housing and Public Works has published a new version of the approved form for the Village Comparison Document on its website which will require scheme operators to include additional information about the transition, closure and redevelopment plans in place for the village.

The approved form for the Village Comparison Document has been revised and updated multiple times since it was introduced in February 2019. The latest version of the approved form, however, introduces more significant changes than any of the previous revisions to the form.

Scheme operators should amend their Village Comparison Documents to incorporate the new additions to the form, and then submit the updated document with the Department. This step will ensure that their villages are using the current statutory form.

For further information on the changes to Village Comparison Document, please contact our Aged Care and Retirement Villages team at CRH Law on 07 3236 2900.
