QCAT Legislation
Legislation establishing the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) was assented to on 26 June 2009. QCAT amalgamates a number of state government tribunals and bodies including the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal, Commercial and Consumer Tribunal and Anti-Discrimination Tribunal. The commencement date for the new Tribunal is still to be set and the government has called for expressions of interest for Tribunal members.
